To ALL the volunteers out there today - stay hydrated, take breaks, and remember to re-apply your sunscreen throughout the day. Your work is so appreciated and we want you to stay safe!
Andrew Cuomo is still running away from his main responsibility to millions of New Yorkers that he had as governor -- getting us to work and back home quickly and reliably
Don't get complacent or celebrate early

if Andrew Cuomo cared about subway riders he wouldn’t have redirected millions of transit dollars to an upstate ski resort #CompetenceNotCuomo#DontRankCuomo
It’s @nycgovhistory birthday! She keeps us going when it seems like we can’t. If you’ve got some time today add the women that inspire you to her database. Women rule the world, I know that better than anyone. Because my wife and daughters rule mine. https://t.co/emwKFqirL2
Millions of essential workers relied on transit to get them to work during the pandemic.
As ridership sharply dropped—and with it, the fare revenues we rely on, we’re at a crisis point.
Without federal help, we won’t be able to keep New York moving forward.

Friends, thank you for the kind comments. It’s been a privilege to fight for New Yorkers alongside so many of you. I’ve retired to my stoop and will be undertaking new projects! Come visit!

An even bigger grievance, to which riders objected, is the Governor's MTA reorganization plan. His proposal would make sweeping changes to how the MTA runs. The plan, announced last Friday, July 19th, will be voted on this Wednesday, giving little time to even read it.
At the meeting, the Committee approved $17 Million to be spent on rebuilding projects with little time and consideration. Today's spending shows how much money the Committee doles out at the blink of an eye.
The Times reported this week that @johnraskin, co-founder of the Riders Alliance, would be stepping down next year. A great colleague and talented organizer. He will be missed. Good luck, John.
