Today I continued my visitation to commiserate and support our PU agents and supporters that were brutalized by APC Thugs on saturday. We started in Agege, then Shomolu, Bariga and Kosofe LG. It was heart breaking to see a grown man cry in front of his children because he can't walk. It was encouraging to see courage, strong spirits and undefeated hearts, despite adversity. We stand with you, we will continue to support you and we will overcome. God bless you all.

So when they bring the money to your polling unit to buy votes, seize it, because it was stolen from you.

The reality in Lagos is that the waste collection and disposal system is completely broken . Hence people have to wait weeks for their waste to be collected. In a situation where people wait weeks for their waste to be colected, the have two terrible options: either they live with their waste and risk diseases or they find a way to dispose of it. We then turn around to blame the same people for government failure. It is a know fact, even admitted by the adminstration that their system has broken down. We can only completely blame human behaviour when collection and disposal has become efficient. In terms of building contraventions and violations, the APC has been in office for 26 years, they have been completely and totally responsible for many of the building violations you see today. Whether it is the indiscriminate sandfilling that i have constantly been shouting about, or the very poor investment in the critical infrastructure required to manage the environment.

A major reason for the incompetence you see in our waste managemen is a cronysim and corruption.

It is an open secret that psps are controlled by party leaders and those close to authority and because of greed and a polical fiefdom, the entire state has been plunged into chaos just to satisfy a few party lords.

This stranglehold is unacceptable and it is the first thing we must break to give way to an open, efficient and effective system with impeccable service delivery for everyone.

Our policies will always focus on the impact on quality of life as opposed to rent seeking like the APC.

Earlier today, i was on channels TV to discuss the floods, waste management and the issues Lagosians are dealing with. It is unfortunate that Newspapers like Newsweek and The Tribune exhibited desperate and lazy journalism by literally attributing things to me i did not say. I thank Channels, the Nation and the New telegraph for their Nuance .

Let me be very clear, My Job in this cycle is to unite all Lagosians, (the disenchanted APC youth ,Obidients, PDP and Labour party faithful, everyone that loves Lagos and wants a lagos that works) against the problems holding Lagos back: “THE APC".

We will bring together people across ALL party lines, ages and class to ensure we form a government that puts you the LAGOSIAN first because it is time for Our Lagos.

The flooding we are witnessing across Lagos is yet another reminder that waste management, stormwater drainage, and urban planning are inseparable. You cannot neglect one and expect the others to function effectively.

For over two decades, Lagosians have endured devastating floods while the APC government has offered little beyond excuses and reactive interventions.

Despite repeated promises, the city continues to flood year after year, with no comprehensive drainage strategy or innovative approach to building a climate-resilient Lagos.

Sadly, poorly regulated sand filling, unchecked development, the destruction of wetlands, and weak urban planning have displaced several vulnerable communities and exposed millions of residents to damaged homes, ruined vehicles, lost businesses, and reduced productivity.

Annoyingly, ordinary Lagosians continue to bear the cost of government failure.

Lagos deserves more than “continuity,” from a group of kleptocrats with fancy resume: It deserves leadership with the vision, competence, and political will to implement proactive, innovative, and sustainable solutions that make our city safer, more resilient, and more livable for everyone.

Dealing with flooding in Lagos requires a forward-thinking approach tied to public policy and town planning. We need to adopt sponge cities initiatives, proper waste management policy, and technology for early warnings, rapid response, and emergency protocols.
