@SCHDETF A miracle would need to occur for SCHD to not pay less in dividends this year than 2025. With the vast majority of the holdings in SCHD increasing their dividends, this seems way off. Schwab should be audited.
This will be the year SCHD destroys its reputation.
@SCHDETF@PositivelyPass1@DividendBreeder The 2026 Q2 dividend is out .2525. I suspect we are going to see our first year of SCHD paying less in dividends than the year before. This is a massive disappointment.
@SCHDETF I won't be purchasing shares immediately before the dividend ex date as it creates a taxable event for essentially a return on capital. Will wait after the ex date to purchase when the share price drops.
@Starz13U@SCHDETF I calculated $0.29009 average increase for Q3 and Q4 to produce a year over year increase of 5%. For the annual dividend not to dip below last year, the average Q3 and Q4 dividend would each have to be $0.2639.
@WP671@iambusinessdad Unless you constructed an apples to apples comparison, you don't know that buying is less expensive than renting. More often than not, renting is the better choice so long as you invest the difference between a mortgage along with all phantom costs and rent.
@SCHDETF I have to give credit where credit is due. Your inspiring and data driven reporting on SCHD holdings has caused me to stay the course despite my uncertainty. Thanks for unknowingly acting in your secondary capacity as a financial therapist. I added 16 shares last week at 32.15.
@SCHDETF Do you find utilizing distributions from other etfs to purchase shares of SCHD worth the squeeze. Is holding those additional funds in the long run a net benefit. Would love to get your thoughts on this approach. All I've ever done was DRIP back into the fund it came from.
@hj_alimin@VividProwess Then what do you call 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 I guess when your arab armies tried to exterminate Israel they sent women and children to fight Israel? That's what I thought abdool.
