@jimmathesonnhl If you’ve ever even once had someone you care about work for a toxic boss that mentally abuses them you think differently. If the oilers win the cup and years from now you hear about people abused then it’s not worth it for me.
@frank_seravalli@DarrenDreger That might take a while. As mentioned earlier, this might squash the whole thing. Pretty sure he resigned in CBL to avoid the investigation. Can’t blame them for asking for it to be completed now that he wants back in.
@dstaples Out all the coaches available, there has to be someone qualified that hasn’t been fired multiple times for questionable behaviour. I’d pass on that one.
@bisping Just walk around the older part of downtown by the empress hotel. Some great pubs. If you have time drive up the west coast past Sook and visit the beaches and check out the tidal pools and forest walks. We vacation there every year. Paradise.
@dstaples@KurtLeavins@edmontonjournal I really can’t think of a reason he would say yes to a move yet. Pretty sure Edm will do everything they can to win the cup next year. Why would he leave?
@klimaslid Sometimes that just breathes oxygen onto a fire. In about two days everybody will forget this anyway. Whatever he says either way won’t make a difference. Half believe him and half don’t. It’s a waste of time to react to this stuff.
@OverDrive1050 Serrevelli said he got it from unnamed league officials I thought. I could see the logic in the Oilers doing it except for the fact that it would make them look bad plus they don’t have to. They can still wait a few weeks if they have to.
@dstaples@BruceMcCurdy When I was a kid I met one of the Habs players from then and I asked questions about the team. He said that Claude “always came to play, practice or game”. Sounded like he was always 110% whenever he had skates on.
@JohnCleese I think there is a saying. Give a monkey a brain and it thinks it’s the center of the universe. Something is human beings have to deal with. Some more than others.
@SStricklandMMA@GoldenKnights You would have loved hockey in the 80s and 90s. It’s the golden age of tough hockey. Wasn’t boxing though. More like trying to start a crappy lawnmower while standing up straight on skates with the speed x10. The big boy days.
@dstaples 80% that bothered to click the button and 80% of the fans are two different things. It’s usually the pissed off fans that vote on X. I think most fans would be fine with him if the team played better. I thought he was fine with Murphy.
@jimmathesonnhl It’s all part of motivation for his team. Play the victim. Get the media mad at you. “Look at how everybody wants us to lose. Let’s go show them”. It’s so consistent that it’s obvious it’s a method. He has you guys figured out.
