Fans bring their kids in.
Fans are the first to hype up projects.
Fans buy merch and keep the IPs alive even when nothing new is going on.

And yet we're despised by execs.

@BaronDestructo The overall response to this has been much greater and widespread than I would ever have expected. I've now twice heard random people bring it up in conversations haha. Stargate fans are legion and probably the best thing has been seeing age differences and demographics of fans

Seems crazy to me that Amazon -who this week released the near-$200M MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, which not only relies on nostalgia but lovingly bathes in it- a day earlier cancelled a new STARGATE TV series for fear it would only appeal to existing fans & fail to attract new ones…
