The older I get the more I realise that the vast majority of people don't seem to want to face the truth.
They simply want to be reassured that whatever reality they've created for themselves will keep them safe and entertained.
Speak about this a lot and have real personal issues with it. Everything Black is positioned as “youth”. It’s like we don’t get older. It really affects a number of us in media because you see your non-Black peers ascending and there is an age related glass ceiling for you.
