@sharrond62 How do you get someone away from an instant dopamine hit to one that is delayed after a level of work?
Most people are addicted to their phones, imagine how much harder that is for a young developing brain
Make the better choices the easiest choices and the worse choices harder.
@andrewwoodroffe It has been a thing in Europe for a long time. Unsure if it is just a translation thing though rather than trying to make it sound better. Not sure of any english speaking country that says this
@lochindaal1@andrewwoodroffe@TriathlonMocker@Noaveragejoe88 This! And I think it highlights a different problem. Ironman have capatilised on the money making potential of triathlon as can be seen with so many athletes willing to pay this obsene money. But the money is clustered among a few. Spread the wealth and bring everyone up!?
Doping positives in triathlon seem to coming in at a rate unseen before. Did these athletes just resort to drugs this year? Likely they have been tested/investigated their entire career and just at the end they get found? There seems to be more of a story here...?
@TriathlonZone@ringsau There seems to have been a pattern here though? Either a change in drug taking practise as a group or testing/investigation practise.
@TrimesTeam@andrewwoodroffe@CrowieAlexander@andybtricoach Agree that would be awesome, but is there a way to do that which doesn't change the sport completely. I guess the worry is that once there are a few of these races, they'll become more common and in a few years no more OD. I think the Q should be how to make OD achieve that?
