@shornKOOMINS I cant believe there were people insisting he deserved another season. lost respect for so many people's footy opinion this season on TAW and other media outlets
@htomufc feels like a signing liverpool would make early klopp days like mane or jota, or maybe a signing bournemouth woule make now and iraola would turn him into a top talent. now we have iraola we can just cut out the middle man and save loads of money ๐ค๐ฝ
@lambert_1922@DistanceCovered i think its a massive struggle in this league. it may lead to low xg chances but the pace of transitions in this league is too lethal, even with a +1. would imagine similar in germany too. it also means your CF is left isolated and wasting energy aimlessly wondering about
@Knox_Harrington how much would mateta cost? should we really spend on him and have 3 strikers who cant play any other positions? we've already dropped 200m on centre forwards. how about lewa on a one year deal?
@RorySmith@OxtonSoulBoy what data do you think this was? and i would imagine data analytics on managers is still in its infancy so why have they put so much weight behind it? if context needs to be added to stats on players, it would increase 10 fold on managers. theres just too many variables
@htomufc@KazzyLFC he probably needs to dial back on training every day of the week though. hes the bizarro slot. but atleast he'll play front footed footy which should create high volume of chances for our attacking talent
@shornKOOMINS@SarbyV1@BigRedSulk the hit rate, according to ian graham, was a result of manager, scouts, data analysts and DoF keeping each other honest with heated arguments. and so when they all finally agreed on a player, they knew it would be a hit. now all power is with the DoF.
@DaColonel3@LukasMukasPukas@GraceOnFootball is it power or just normal input that managers had before this 'coach' not manager approach became a thing? I think managers need a decent input into transfers, even in modern football
@GraceOnFootball@StevieY82 also depends on your options, and once it became apparent klopp was an otpion, it was a no-brainer. think slot has set the bar that low that a fair few people would be an upgrade.
@stillnotead3s@JoshLFC1909 i remember last season an entire XI were in there watching the game. Its a testament to his coaching that he still gets good performances despite the injuries, but its a massive worry if he were to come to liverpool
@Klaxxy73@JamesPearceLFC yep, as slot has constantly reminded us, we struggle with set pieces, we struggle against teams who dont play out from the back. (also we struggle against everyone else)
