What do we know about Penang LRT

Project cost RM17b ~ no details on cost breakdown ie interest during construction,land acquisition,various fees/overheads and contingencies.

Ridership ~ vague with various numbers

BCR ,financials and funding ~ nothing

For every Mega Project, Gov must at minimum disclose:
• Total cost+breakdown
• Projected ridership
• Benefit–Cost Ratio
• Cashflow projections
• Funding structure (equity/loans) + OPEX & farebox recovery

Many Chinese cities have extensive rail networks and high ridership — without needing a Circle Line.

Meanwhile, Klang Valley, with just 27 km of rail per million people and low ridership per km, treats MRT3 like a matter of life and death.

BYD sold 4 million cars whilst Proton less than 200,000.

Numbers do not jive
There are better solutions
Unless the objective is to waste RM50b on MegaProjects

And ignore our needs for more hospitals,better education facilities,green energy....
