The NHL vs NBA comparison in Utah.
NHL: Entrusted an unknown market with a struggling franchise, supported a rapid relocation process with a single offseason to prepare, coordinated two rebrands, increased nationally televised games both years, won the draft lottery in year 2, awarded the marquee winter classic event in year 3.
NBA: Fined 500K for embracing the system the NBA has created yet still beat Miami, haven’t played for a title in almost 30 years, never picked first overall, never won the draft lottery, allowed the national media to create a false narrative about Utah as a market, never landed a top FA, consistently overlooked in terms of nationally televised games.
Blatantly obvious that the NBA doesn’t care for Utah while the NHL already loves it.
BYU was apparently unworthy to be even considered as a CFP at-large team. This is their current resume. (* still has bowl game)
W vs 10-2 Utah *
W at 9-3 Arizona *
W vs 9-4 TCU
W vs 9-4 GA Tech
W at 9-4 ECU
W at 8-4 Iowa State
W at 7-5 Cincinnati *
L(2) vs 12-1 Texas Tech
BYU honestly may have been the most underrated team of all-time, and I’m not exaggerating.
@JimtaryCisneros @975Hans I guess talking about football on here is okay, but personally I like watching actual football games to figure out who the better teams are. Call me old fashioned 🤷♂️
#11 BYU is the lowest ranked 11-1 power conference team at the end of the regular season in CFP history.
Every other 11-1 power conference team since 2014 was ranked in the Top 10.
@CUBoulder Hey @CUBoulder and @Big12Conference, a few ideas to help:
• 15-yard penalty, unsportsmanlike conduct, every occurrence.
• Remove offenders immediately.
• Permanent ban for repeat offenders.
• Suspension for identified students.
• Fines for host teams.
Make it stop. Really.
@Crazzmatazzy Thank you for this! I love my Cougs, but I love any and every person so, so, much more than a sports team. I vow to not let any team, political party, or differing opinion steal my humanity. Love you brother!
So let me guess this straight…
Ryder Lyons is your 6th overall player…consensus 5 star QB… He chooses BYU over Oregon and drops to 53rd overall player and loses his 5th star from you guys…
Bryson Beaver picks up an Oregon offer and gets his 4th star only from you guys that day and jumps Ryder for 44th player in the class, previously not even being in your top 300, once he commits to Oregon…
Nope no bias there 😂
