No hurry though - early bird goes through to the end of June.
Before that, we will be publishing draft speakers lists.
@ChristianSelig I’m not sure, but anything off screen will be redrawn when it comes back on screen right? So will reevaluate that dynamic provider with the current traits?
I used theme colors with UIAppearance proxies too. Docs say to remove the view from the window and add it back.
@ChristianSelig Oops, I see in the code sample you’ve done that. Only thing I can add is you can have a static theme var, and return any colour from the dynamic provider based on that theme. But the key for me was telling the UI to redraw.
@ChristianSelig Check out the dynamic provider init method on UIColor. I made a theme system using it. You need to call setsNeedsDisplay on the window when the theme changes. But it works well. https://t.co/YzUl9SxJO9
@samskiter @xenadu02 Hey, I’ve seen the swizzling solutions. They didn’t work in my case, even flat opaque views would have one or two pixel differences around text. I’ve still not found a way to force the simulators to do CPU rendering. Let me know if you do find a way to get consistent snapshots.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to disable Metal in the iOS Simulator on Catalina? We’re seeing each GPU produce slightly different rendering which means our snapshot tests are failing. Similar issue on the snapshot library: https://t.co/Qmw9nKMylm
Maybe @xenadu02 can help? 🤞
How do the new M1 Pro and Max perform in real-world Xcode tests? We found out this week by compiling and running tests across a range of machines! https://t.co/RgtPTK6cG1
Really proud to ship something we've been working on for a long time: US customers can now add linked bank accounts and create ACH payments from the @monzousa app! Will be enabled for everyone very shortly💸
@radiantav Sounds like it won’t help in this case if you need exact offset. I guess there’s no way of getting access to the orthogonal scrollview without hacky solutions like traversing the view hierarchy. Let me know if you find a better way.
@FloFi@radiantav This seems to be fixed in iOS 15 beta 1. Had a lab at WWDC with a UIKit engineer that helped me fix the new zIndex issue on the headers too. Feedback number here if you want to dupe: https://t.co/hqqMa0SQjX
@radiantav It’s not perfect, but there is a visibleItemsInvalidatioHandler on the section that gets called. I used it to work around lack of delegate for orthogonal sections. Hope that helps

Looking to speak with people at other great companies to find a role suited to my skills. I can work in large projects, ship big changes safely (Monzo USA) and write architecture that scales to multiple dev teams (BBC Sounds).
@fillito Dani! You were a great teammate. Our modularisation work is in safe hands, I can’t wait to hear about all the improvements it unlocks and where you take it next. Keep doing amazing things
Today is my last day at Monzo 😢 I’ll really miss all the people, I’ve learned so much from my coworkers. It’s been great working on and shipping some amazing features.
