I’ve lived in the United States for 38 years and have never personally experienced racism. Ironically, some of the harshest labels I’ve received have come from fellow Indians-“bhagoda,” “anti-national,” and worse-simply for expressing my views.

When disagreement turns into personal attacks and name-calling, it reflects intolerance, not patriotism. We should be able to debate ideas without dehumanizing people.
