Leaders, relationships arenโt just about getting commitment from staff. Itโs knowing when staff leave exhausted, defeated, in tears, and sometimes feeling hopeless. Use those Relationships to build them up, let them know you have their back & even send a note of encouragement.

YES! Putting in 21 steps to get a piece of paper printed on the copy machine or having to ask our front office to use their valuable time to print in color is NOT being treated like a professional! It is a waste of valuable time.
Every child deserves a teacher who cares about them. Every child also deserves a teacher who is supported, appreciated, and treated like a professional.

@mbcourtneyedd The people up top (admin, super, etc) should be able to explain the research behind the strategies they are asking teachers to implement in the classroom.
Iโm not debating anyone who wants to tell me Iโm complaining for simply discussing the details of my chosen occupation.
I can love my job AND publicly advocate for better working conditions for myself and my colleagues.
Teachers rarely quit because of students. And they may give different reasons why they leave, but its almost always leadership and/or unrealistic work load.
