@deijdotcom @ProtonVPN Hence the Tweet starts with "We confirm," it refers to the original work carried out by Proton Team: (we thought a video replaying the issue in iOS 16 would be a nice addition to their great work)

I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is YES. #Android communicates with #Google services outside an active VPN connection, even with the options "Always-on" and "Block Connections without VPN."
I used a #Pixel phone running #Android13, its IP is 192.168.2.14 👇

We confirm that iOS 16 does communicate with Apple services outside an active VPN tunnel. Worse, it leaks DNS requests. #Apple services that escape the VPN connection include Health, Maps, Wallet.
We used @ProtonVPN and #Wireshark. Details in the video:

Apple uses DSID to uniquely identify Apple ID accounts. DSID is associated with your name, email, and any data in your iCloud account. This is a screenshot of an API call to iCloud, and DSID it can be clearly seen alongside a user's personal data:

Apple states in their Device Analytics & Privacy statement that the collected data does not identify you personally. This is inaccurate. We also showed earlier that the #AppStore keeps sending detailed analytics to Apple even when sharing analytics is switched off.

While the terrorist Russia is killing civilians in Ukraine, as if nothing had happened, this girl walks on the podium, representing Russia at the Miss Universe contest. It's surreal! 🇭🇺❤️🇺🇦

Rescuers are bringing a person down to safety from the building in Dnipro city ruined by a Russian rocket.

When that woman woke up this morning, she couldn't even have imagined the nightmare she would find herself in several hours later.

How’s it to be next to a butcher in the Chamber? Do you feel warm & sticky blood when you shake his hand? Next time you shake his hand think about civilians killed by russian missiles in #Dnipro! Think about it when the butchers speak of russian church that blessed russian army

I'm not an expert on WWII. Were people in 1943 still discussing what annexed lands Hitler would get to keep as part of a "peace settlement"?

"Can Russian terror be stopped? Yes. Can it be done in another way than on a battlefield in Ukraine? Unfortunately, not.

What is needed for that? The weapons that are available in our partners' warehouses and that our Warriors wait for so eagerly" - @ZelenskyyUa

The horrible aftermath of the Russian strike on Dnipro so far:

Nine dead, a 15 year old girl among them

64 wounded - 59 hospitalized - head of Dnipropetrovsk regional administration.

Hundreds of people without homes. Immeasurable grief and suffering.

1- The videos that the #Russians and #Wagner criminal gangs broadcast on a daily basis portray severe human rights crimes that they commit and document with their own cameras, which is both horrifying and despicable. They must be stopped and brought to justice.

Switzerland is not neutral.

Switzerland actively stops other countries from helping the victims, the Ukrainian people, and tacitly supports the attacker, the Russian terrorist state.
