@swfc Poor you still can’t transfer unused games to Family & Friends like most other clubs allow you. Would be a good way for people to get new supporters at games when they’ve got a spare ticket.
There seems to be a lot of confusion on the SWFC zero point ruling when comparing to the zero points Derby also received.
Both Clubs paid/are paying 25p in the £ to unsecured creditors.
Derby’s owner completely wrote his debt off. The Wednesday owner was made a sizeable offer.
Derby paid 25p in the £ and left the tax man owed £10’s of millions (EFL Insolvency Policy directs 100p - discretion shown). Wednesday are paying off all owed (100p in the £) to HMRC.
I’m struggling to square why some feel Wednesday should get more than Derby got for exiting Administration when the shortfall to creditors is so much less in the case of SWFC?
Furthermore, the shortfall against EFL Insolvency Policy is also much less in the case of SWFC.
Our final half time challenge of the season takes place on Saturday!
We're looking for two competitors, with the winner on the day receiving a signed shirt!
Like, repost and follow @MrVegas_Casino to be in with a chance 🤞
@robstaton@MG117_@finswfc1@tomosuto_@adam3oxley Don’t forget he also ‘created’ the debt he’s owed personally through the dodgy ground deal etc. I’d imagine failed owners holding out for the full amount they’re ‘owed’ when a clubs in Admin is extremely rare. It’s his own greed that’s causing this single issue.
@TWFootball1867 Same bloke who agreed a deal for Smith then doubled the asking price the day after he scored a goal? Not for one minute do I believe ‘IF something has changed’…. It definitely has!
@henrywinter It’s crazy Arise are being punished for not fully paying off a bloke who allowed the stadium to get in such a state of disrepair they’re now facing astronomical costs to sort basics like Water & Electric. Surely hidden costs like this should be considered in the final ruling.
@YesWeCrann Yet… You have admit it does kind of lay a foundation for them to pull out.
The message for now seems to be let’s fight the club being punished by the EFL because Arise won’t pay mansion money for a derelict building, to the bloke who’s allowed it to become derelict. #swfc
@GP1867 It’s easy to blame clubs for ‘breaking the rules’ until the day your club ‘breaks’ them. The pyramid is broken. What’s 3 clubs this season could easily be 6 next season and so on. Plenty of fans seem happy to bury their heads in the sand, but reality will come knocking eventually
@KieranMaguire Nothing against Oxford. But there’s talk of an enforced £7m salary cap at Wednesday, whilst a club with Oxford’s infrastructure are allowed to continue spending £22m on wages. The lack of governance to protect clubs like Oxford from the extortion of modern football is staggering
@YesWeCrann The 7m overall is surely worse? With what will be left player wise that’s likely already down to 4/5m to recruit the 15-20 players we need. In any case that 7k pw is definitely getting cut again as an average. Surely logic says the cap is either the 7m pa or the 7k pw, not both.
Pep Guardiola on Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s immigration comments: “I have huge appreciation for Sir Jim [Ratcliffe], I was fortunate enough to meet him. I think he made a statement apologising.
I’m not commenting on what he said… But, all around the world the problems we have in all the countries, we treat immigrant people, people that come from other countries like they are the problems that our countries have. It’s a big, big, big, big problem.
The fact I am Catalan and you are British, what influence do we have where we are born? I think everybody wants to have a better life, everybody wants to have better prospects to have a better future for their themselves, their families, their friends… Sometimes opportunities come at the place you are born or the place you go. Before it was so difficult to travel but today in one hour you can go anywhere.
Where we start, the colour of your skin, or where you were born, doesn’t make a difference. We have a lot of work to do on that. The fact I am Catalan doesn’t make me feel I am better than you.
Most of the people run away from their countries because of the problems in their counties, not because they want to leave. The more we truly, truly embrace other cultures we can be better. We would have a better society. I don’t have any doubts about that.”
@YesWeCrann Not sure on Alao, very much felt like Amass going back forced his hand on that one. I’d also argue Weaver & Brown also earnt the right to start in the league in the cup games, and took those chances. Amass he’s definitely improved though, McNeil & Otegbayo too.
@YesWeCrann Surely the message starts to get lost in all the repetition? He should try not telling them he’s proud for a week and see if we score that Saturday…
