We're the Greater Toronto Multiple Alarm Association: an all volunteer, non-profit organization that provides a canteen service for Toronto firefighters
On April 27, TFS responded to a 4-alarm grass fire near Finch/Meadowvale with support from Pickering & Oshawa Fire. Support 7—run entirely by volunteers—was on scene providing rehab. One firefighter was taken to hospital as a precaution. Thank you all.
It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear friend Mac. Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate his life — to share stories, laughter, and tears as we honoured the incredible impact he had on all of us.
In a fitting tribute, Mac took his final ride on Support 7 — a moment that was both emotional and beautiful. He was a steady presence, a quiet leader, and a friend to so many. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Whether behind the wheel, behind the scenes, or out at a scene supporting the frontline, Mac was always there — calm, steady, and reliable.
Rest in peace, Mac. Thank you for everything.
We have it from here.
It is with heavy hearts that we mark the passing of David MacDonald — known fondly to so many as simply “Mac.” A pillar of the fire buff community in Canada and respected on the international stage, Mac’s legacy is one of deep dedication, humble service, and unwavering passion.
Mac’s influence extended far beyond the halls of our meetings and the back of Support 7. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and generosity left a mark on fire services enthusiasts across Canada and beyond.
Our Support 7 team has traded in our usual role for something a little more festive! We’ve been out collecting toys for the Toronto Firefighter Toy Drive, spreading holiday cheer and helping ensure every child experiences the magic of the season.
🚒❤️ Support 7 is out in full force today, collecting toys from fire stations across the city for kids in need this holiday season! The amount of Toys reminds us of the power of community and generosity.
🎄✨ Happy Holidays, Everyone! ✨🎄
Wishing you all a season filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends. As you deck the halls and enjoy the festivities, don’t forget to keep safety in mind!
This weekend, our team has the opportunity to engage in specialized driver training alongside our West End colleagues (BOX12). This collaboration aims to enhance our skills in safely and efficiently maneuvering our apparatus in all situations.
Today, we honor Fire Chief @ChiefPeggTFS as he retires after an incredible career with Toronto Fire Services. Chief Pegg has dedicated himself to keeping our city safe, improving the mental health of first responders. All while leading with courage, integrity, and compassion.
