"Never take your geographical luck for granted. The safety, freedom and comfort you live in are luxuries denied to millions. Not because they deserve any less, but because the world is unjust."
Some okes are only "free" because, the victims chose silence! The day they find their strength, and have the courage to speak, even the mountains will tremble👍🏽!
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has said it will restart the recruitment process for the next Prosecutor General after all eight shortlisted candidates scored below 50% in a written assessment.
The highest score was 49%, while the lowest was 30% and this effectively disqualified all shortlisted candidates from advancing to the interview stage.
The recruitment process was launched following the expiry of acting Prosecutor General Martha Imalwa's term last year.
The written examination was designed to evaluate legal knowledge, analytical ability, legal reasoning and the practical application of legal principles expected of a candidate seeking appointment as the PG.
In its assessment of the results, the Commission concluded that the candidates did not meet the level of legal knowledge and competence required for that office.
The Commission said it is looking for persons who possess a strong understanding of legal principles, prosecutorial functions and criminal justice processes.
Against that background, scheduled public interviews have been cancelled.
The recruitment process will start fresh, and candidates who participated in the first recruitment round will be allowed to apply again.
The closing date for applications in the new recruitment process has been set for 31 July.

Honestly, reading this just pissed me off. As a society, we need to get very serious about ostracizing rape apologists.
Rape culture doesn’t survive because of rapists alone, it survives because of the people who excuse, justify, and minimize it with social commentary like these.
We need to stop treating rape apologism as just another opinion. Challenge it, shun it, shame it. That’s how harmful ideas lose their place in society.
