It's a pity I had to send my deputy to this years King's Birthday garden party, it would have been lovely to meet GU4YOX.

I'm deeply saddened to learn that MU0FAL, aka @LeRoiHaptalon, is now SK.

He will be missed be so many and I shall miss someone I considered a good friend and, of course, our occasional rag chews via CW.

Whilst I was doing my nekked bathroom clean this morning two gentleman knocked on the door and asked my lodger if he was a radio ham.

He said no, obviously, but that I was and... presumably said I was busy - cleaning said bathroom.

Well, that was rather lovely. I heard a knock on the door, went to it, a gentleman from Germany... Hand delivering a QSL card! Over here on a tour so couldn't sit and chat about all things radio.

@andybolton Nope, not at all. I can listen to the dah-di-dahs whilst I'm doing other things, can even wander out of the room as they carry throughout the house. But other modes... I have to be there and FT8... I have to look at the screen!
