@carlos_darko @FelipeGonzalezU A ver, son formatos distintos y, en general, AVIF ofrece mayor compresión (y tiene buen soporte por parte de navegadores, similar a webp).

Pero todo depende de lo que necesites y lo que puedas implementar 😁

@carlos_darko @FelipeGonzalezU @brendankenny @HTTPArchive @ChromeUXReport @rick_viscomi Dicho esto, que @googlesearchc soporte AVIF favorecería el hecho de que las imágenes estén siempre optimizadas y que el tráfico que sirves desde tu hosting o CDN sea menor por ser imágenes que generalmente pesarán menos (lo cual también puede repercutir en reducir costes 😊).

@carlos_darko @FelipeGonzalezU @brendankenny En su día le eché un ojo a los datos de @HTTPArchive y los comparé con datos de @ChromeUXReport que me facilitaron @rick_viscomi y su equipo para una charla que di sobre LCP en 2023 y las conclusiones eran las mismas: el peso de la imagen no suele ser el problema del LCP.
