Long career in telecoms, aerospace & IT. Adept at troubleshooting & problem resolution.
Fascinated by the milieu. Pic: JFK 22L over the captain's shoulder
The project was initially focused on just mixed air traffic, but now includes ADS-B data, “so we now feed it every day, real time, what the airplanes are doing… we can see unstabilized approaches… long landings that create intersection risk, and we can identify, is that an actual user, an airline, that has maybe a training issue, is it a runway design issue, is it a taxiway design issue…”
@thebaldgeek Is there anyone else in your locality transmitting WSPR or FT8? The WSPR database is freely available to interrogate, FT8 & other beacon modes must be similar. Locations expressed as maidenhead codes, 6 or 8 characters.
@Scaramucci Ackally, the most important point is the identities of the 2 alleged Pentagon/otherwise US officials who called a WSJ reporter with the ‘story’.
Even a freakin’ Iranian news agency cited the WSJ & the IRGC press releases made no mention of the launches.
Per chance, John Barron?
@spectatorindex According to two anonymous ‘Pentagon’ sources who called up a WSJ reporter based in NY. Perhaps the anonymous sources were John Melanie Barron?
@thenewarea51@LabratSR The media has been consistent, over the past twelve years, in attaching a pic of anything with any MAS livery to their MH370 stories: 747s (long retired), 737s, A330s, A350s…
@moyensdebord@Turbinetraveler Vance contradicts not only evidence assessed by hands-on inspection by ATSB but TSB-CA’s own evidence the SR111 crash. He’s an unreliable broker.
@DominickGDonald@johnkonrad Actually, it’s MI5 (UK domestic security/CI) that is located across the Thames from IMO HQ.
The Lloyd’s building is in the City of London, 4.5km away.
London’s a capital city, everything’s close to everything else.
Proximity is a specious argument.
@IAmSagzee@Matt_Bracken48 Precious few US registered vessels. That’s actually one of present US admin’s many gripes, US has little to no ocean going merchant fleet.
Aside from that, descriptions of the Strait of Hormuz give impression vessels can be easily protected in convoy: that is really not so.
@LaurentLadouce@ManvBrain@americanpetunia@LabratSR@carndadogz The fiction is strong in the Richard & Geoffrey boondoogle.
A78-08 was to conduct the search a yr ago. Nope, it was A78-06 (obvious frm May 24)
A86-06 carried ROVs. Nope, chill units for extended voyage.
WSPR can detect a/c over oceanic distances. Nope, pure hoax.
& on, & on.
@LabratSR@americanpetunia@carndadogz@ManvBrain@VesselFinder Seafloor survey for oil, gas, and renewable energy projects is OI’s day-to-day, routine business.
Randomly associating Armada vessels with any/every past site of seafloor significance says more about the quest for relevance by those voicing such nonsense than anything else.
@LabratSR@americanpetunia@carndadogz@ManvBrain@VesselFinder There is no basis in fact for the idea being seeded by certain YouTube content creators that A86-01 is headed for the AF447 debris field site.
Recently, in late 2025, Brazil agreed leases for oil/gas field development offshore Ceará & adjacent northern provinces.
