Abu Qatada reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: “I seek from Allah that fasting on the day of 'Arafa may atone for the sins of the preceding and the coming years.”

The Prophet, (PBUH), was asked about fasting the day of Arafat and he said, “It will expiate the sins of the previous and upcoming years.” Then, the Prophet was asked about fasting the day of Ashura and he said, “It will expiate the sins of the past year.”

Abu Malik Al-Ash`ari narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
(Al-Ḥamdulillāh) fills the Scale, and (Subḥān Allāh wal-Ḥamdulillāh)’ fill” - or - “fills what is between the heavens and the earth, "

Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal will be (rewarded) as if he had fasted the entire year." Related by Muslim.
O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
