India Pakistan Conflit Update: In response to Pakistan's unauthorized drone attacks on Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab on May 8-9, 2025, the Indian Army launched a coordinated counter-offensive, neutralizing terrorist launchpads.

Launchpads situated near the Line of Control served as operational bases for planning and conducting terrorist attacks against Indian civilians and security personnel. On July 30, 2025, at approximately 1130 hours, a motor transport (MT) accident occurred at KM 74. The convoy, en route from Durbuk to Chongtash, was struck by a landslide. It is confirmed that Lieutenant Colonel Mankotiya and Naik Daljit Singh of 14 SINDH HORSE were fatally injured in the accident. Major Mayank Shubham (14 SINDH HORSE), Major Amit Dixit, and Captain Gaurav (60 Armd) sustained injuries and have been transported to 153 General Hospital, Leh. Further details are currently being investigated.

The Resistance Force (TRF), an outfit affiliated with the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district.

The incident resulted in the death of Agniveer Lalit Kumar from the 7th Battalion of the JAT Regiment. Two other personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), sustained injuries in the blast.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, which underscores ongoing security challenges along the LoC.

During an operation launched by CRPF in January 2024 to establish a new Forwarding Operating Base at Tekalgudium, Sukma district, Chhattisgarh, he risked his life by fiercely engaging advancing Naxals. Ct/GD Devan Kumar was fatally shot by a sniper.
