1. I never have service at the venue anyway.
2. If I escape a mass casualty event, I’m not going to care whether or not I even have my phone on me.
3. If I still have my phone on me, I will find a pair of scissors like a normal, smart person and cut yondr open
with all the no-phones concert discourse i'm surprised nobody's brought up the very obvious angle of "why would you want nobody to have a means of contact at a concert in a post-manchester attack world", especially in a country that's had quite a few concert/festival shootings
i’m not gonna pretend i don’t take videos at concerts either but a significant portion of the audience NEVER puts their phone down to the point of constantly obstructing the view. like why am i essentially watching this live performance through a sea of screens
i’m sorry i keep talking about this phoebe bridgers no phones policy but it’s too easy when people are comparing being without their phone for 3 hours to being sent to guantanamo bay
Deep deep psychosis… because who is going to abduct me from my seat and how would calling somebody solve my problem faster than flagging down security ? 😭🤧
It’s really not that difficult if you decide it’s going to be the only thing you spend significant amounts of money on and just make it a priority constantly
I always find the hate towards multiple show goers to be so funny because how the fuck would you expect me to do all that without at least one job??? When I traveled for Shawn I had two jobs at the same time, I gave them over a year notice that I would be gone for 6 weeks
@pastlifebieber This has been happening for all of music history. Michael Jackson had people that did this, the Grateful Dead still have people that do this, Bruce Springsteen has people to do this. What is wrong with you? The only difference now is that it’s on social media. Let this girl live.
worst part about working in the music industry with bands directly is watching every single artist throw away all of the gifts fans give them at the end of the night
