For ten years, Galway University Hospitals Arts Trust, provided a multidisciplinary Arts and Health programme to promote wellbeing and improve the hospital experience at Galway’s public hospitals.
Developed through participatory workshops with patients, it explores the significance of the simple postcard in connecting from a distance, making someone’s day, and in making the hospital more human – even if we seem to not be saying very much.
Tomorrow we'll have one of our special mindfulness tours of the collection - a lovely chance to enjoy some time out and take a look at some works at a slower pace. It starts at 1.30pm, and will end with some quiet reflection.

What a great article. Highlights how 'bringing nature indoors is a recognised industry tool to incorporate health and wellbeing into design and infrastructure' Well worth reading in full. Many of our exhibitions bring the external landscape to a healthcare setting. #artsandhealth
