I just audited my ~/.codex folder. Here's what I found out.
166 GB total. Over 100 GB of it is cache.
Two sessions from this month wrote 115 GB of that between them.
Here's how to do the same. One prompt to audit it, one to clean it, and the cleanup one never touches your auth, your config or your router.
Both prompts in the comments

Introducing SuperAstra: Edit Super Nintendo games live with GPT-6
One of my favorite ways to test new models has been reverse engineering classic games. This is hard because it's raw machine code. Astra is way better than anything I've seen.
Download and examples below 👇
GPT-6 Astra is now available to all Pro, Enterprise, and Business Premium users alongside the API.
I’ve been using it to build apps, LEGO models, and 3D scenes. Here are five things that changed how I use Codex 👇 https://t.co/JalblHWIUl
We will give one banked reset for every day you don't have access to Astra on your paid ChatGPT plan, starting today. Team is moving mountains to give access as fast as we can.
First one will land in ~ 3 hours. There is still time to create your account if you don't have one.
ElevenLabs charges $22 a month to clone your voice, then makes you burn credits every time your own voice speaks.
This guy named Palash built a local alternative and gave it away for free on GitHub.
It is called VoiceStudio.
Download the app. Add 5 to 15 seconds of clean audio. Type a script, select a language, and press Generate.
The software clones the voice on your computer. It can also design new voices, dub videos, transcribe recordings, and turn PDFs or EPUBs into multi-voice audiobooks.
You do not need an account, API key, subscription, or usage meter for the core workflow.
Just a computer running one of 16 text-to-speech engines across a catalogue of 646 languages.
VoiceStudio is still in beta, so its speed depends on your hardware.
Your own voice stops being a rented service and becomes a tool you actually control.

What is an obvious thing that we should do with Codex, API or our models that we should just do but haven't yet? What is 100% within reach, but we just seem to be missing?
I tried a few popular reasoning prompts with Codex. This is the one I kept.
It makes Codex pause, ask the one question most likely to change its answer, and wait for my reply. It works with Claude too.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁:
Do not answer my question yet.
Before answering:
1. List the assumptions I haven’t stated but you’re about to make.
2. Tell me what key information is missing and how it could change your answer.
3. Name the most common mistake people make with this kind of task.
4. Ask me one question only: the one whose answer is most likely to change your overall approach.
Wait for my reply before continuing.
My question: [paste your question]
Ten questions at once and I’ll probably leave it for later. One question, and I’ll usually answer right away.
