New skill: /find-animation-opportunities
Search your UI for places that would genuinely benefit from motion, while also telling you what not to animate.

A few patterns we frequently use with Fable 5:
Use Fable 5 as an "advisor."
An executor (Sonnet 5) calls Fable 5 for guidance.
Most tokens are billed at the lower executor rate.
This is our first time telling the story of how we first built and launched Claude Code, starting with its origins in Anthropic safety research.
So much more to do. We are 1% done.
Today we're releasing a new set of components for building chat interfaces.
We've taken the patterns we build every day, rethought the abstractions behind them, and turned them into components you can compose and customize.
We're starting with the conversation layer: streaming, scrolling, messages, bubbles, attachments, and markers.
New post: why and how @linear is moving to @stylexjs.
Codemods and agents are doing the heavy lifting. Humans still have to perform detective work on cursed hover states.

Apple just made Docker Desktop optional on Mac.
And it is completely free.
This is apple/container. 26.5k stars no Github.
You can now run Linux containers natively on your Mac without installing Docker Desktop, without a background daemon hogging your RAM, and without paying $21 a month per developer for a commercial license.
Here is what it does:
→ Runs Linux containers as lightweight VMs directly on Apple Silicon using macOS 26 virtualization
→ Fully OCI compatible. Pull any image from Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry or anywhere else
→ Written in Swift and optimised specifically for Apple Silicon. Faster and lighter than anything Docker Desktop does on Mac
→ Standard container CLI syntax. If you know Docker commands you already know how to use this
→ Push images you build to any standard container registry and run them anywhere
Docker Desktop charges $21 per developer per month for commercial use. Apple's version costs nothing and ships as open source under Apache-2.0.
Microsoft made Docker Desktop optional on Windows with WSL Containers last month.
Apple just did the same on Mac.
Docker is not going anywhere. But the era of paying for a GUI wrapper around containers on your own machine is quietly ending.

Umihara Kawase is a 1994 SNES platformer built around a detailed, elastic rope physics system. You play a girl caught in a bizarre dream world full of walking fish. Equipped with a fishing line, she can swing and abseil from platform to platform using it as a grappling hook.
Writing the post vs rebuilding the blog to write the post.
Doing the task vs creating a todo list to do the task.
Shipping the feature vs refactoring so you can ship the feature.
We never learn.
In light of what happened, I'm doubling down on skills like /improve.
A frontier model got pulled. If it happened once, it's gonna happen again. Fable today. 4.9 tomorrow or maybe gpt 6 one day.
So, treat intelligence as borrowed. Drain intelligence when it's available. Build a catalog of plans today. Then implement later with a cheaper, open source, or a model you control.
Build the backlog now.

Claude Fable 5 changed how we work on the Claude Code team day to day.
We used to verify that Claude did the work right. Now we verify that it's doing the right work.
Here’s the 3 biggest changes:
