From evidence to impact, this is what it looks like when innovation meets government partnership. Proud of Dr Bethrand Odume, Dr Nkiru Nwokoye and the entire KNCV Nigeria team for driving the Gates Foundation funded TES project forward in Anambra and Kano.

@ruffydfire@MTNNG your internet service is so appalling and you cleared over 150G data, your excuse is that my grace period expired. I need your attention on this matter cos you are about to lose a very good customer
@ruffydfire@MTNNG How can my grace period expire with over 150G when I couldn’t use the internet service I purchased with my hard earned money. Please explain this to me.
This evening, at the Launch of the Private Sector Strategy to End Tuberculosis in Nigeria held in Lagos by the @StopTBNigeria, the message was clear: we know the statistics, we are leading in case identification, and the Government and its development partners are doing their part. Now, it’s time for the private sector to join the fight against tuberculosis in Nigeria.
Tuberculosis remains a formidable challenge in our country, striking the poorest and most vulnerable, those who are often socially excluded. Despite our progress, we still face significant hurdles. The resources needed to sustain and expand our efforts are vast, and the burden on our health system is immense. This isn’t just a health issue; it’s a social and economic challenge that affects directly or indirectly every one of us.
In inviting the private sector into the fight against tuberculosis, we seek active partners who can amplify our efforts. We have the tools and knowledge to combat TB effectively, but we need your support. Imagine the impact of a strategic partnership where the Nigerian private sector leaders raise $25 million USD for tuberculosis initiatives, and the government and development partners match it. Together, we can ensure that our resources are used efficiently, effectively, and transparently, with a plan to monitor our progress over time.
The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu @SenRemiTinubu, and the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu @JokeSanwoolu, along with other First Ladies, have championed the fight against tuberculosis. Their leadership and advocacy have brought much-needed attention to this critical issue, inspiring action across all sectors of society. We also owe a great deal to our development partners, such as @USAIDGH and the Stop TB Partnership Nigeria, Agbami Parties, @GlobalFund, @UNOPS, @USAIDGH, @KncvNigeria, Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, and other partners whose unwavering support, resources, and expertise have significantly advanced our efforts.
A long-standing friend and global public health icon, Prof. Peter Piot, has been a tremendous influence on our strategies against TB. His pioneering work, dedication to global health, and insightful guidance have been instrumental in shaping effective TB strategies. His leadership and commitment continue to inspire and drive us forward.
As a strong and willing coalition, we can eradicate tuberculosis from Nigeria in line with our goal to save lives and produce health for all Nigerians under President @officialABAT Renewed Hope Agenda for improved quality health outcomes. This is the spirit and essence of Stop TB Partnership @StopTB.
