@adamkeys_ Problem is he's a bit too passive at LW. I remember he played at LW few times last season. And judging by Arteta's reaction to his defensive work, I'm not too sure how much he likes him there. I think we are getting a LW/CF (capable of playing at LW). Could yet be underwhelming.

@MrDtAFC I keep saying this. It feels like the club either had some sort of deadline before they pulled the plug on this. Or we were waiting for a greenlight on a certain transfer before going forward with these departures. I hope there's some good deadline day surprise in store.

@ltarsenal I don't think so. I think he made a good choice in the end. The position he's operating in is tailor made to suit his style. We wouldn't have been able to give him that. Rice,MLS, EZE all 3 primarily operate there. And idk how effective he would have been as a touchline LW.

The wording on Martinelli here we go from Fabrizio. "He just had authorization to travel for medical" makes it seem like we were waiting for some sort of a confirmation on a target. So let's hope it's something good.

That in fact is another reason why Spanish teams do well. They have the liberty to rotate as much as they like. Because othe teams are not that great.

@LilywhitesSpur @usmvnv @afcjxmes How many defenders are injured for long term? Even then why does that matter?. We have 8. With Saliba and Timber been out for a while. So we are left with 6. Yet your fan base claiming we are stockpiling defenders?. And yet you guys have 10 defenders.

@eduthenirvana @afcjxmes Still they have Savio, Kudus, Kulu, Odebert, Tel, Simmons, Maddison, Solanke, Marmoush, and now Ndiaye. All of these players competing for 4 positions. I thought we had excessive numbers with Merino playing as a floater. But even with him our number reaches 9.
