It’s sacred to over 2 Billion Hindus, Buddhists and Jains worldwide who have never engaged in hate or genocide against Jews. We strongly condemn the August 15, 2024 #Hinduphobic event being hosted at @Concordia which seeks erasure of Hindu religion under the guise of fighting “Hindutva fascism" and which labels Hindu Canadian diaspora as “fascist”. The speakers and organizers of this conference are well know for their #AntiIndia and #AntiHindu narratives using #caste and false narratives of persecution of minorities in India.
The event attempts to negate the growing #HinduphobiaInCanada, including attacks on Hindu temples in Canada. It’s disturbing that the event is being held on a day when Indo-Canadians are celebrating India’s Independence Day. It’s deeply concerning that the event attempts to deny and divert attention of the world which is witnessing the targeted brutal persecution of #BangladeshiHindusGenocide echoed in Afghanistan, Pakistan where minorities are near extinction due to ethnic cleansing.

Under the guise of freedom of speech and intellectual freedom, the event is another attempt at “Dismantling Global Hindutva”which is actually an attempt to ‘dismantle Hindu dharma’. @RajivMessage has explained why such precious such events promote #Hinduphobia

It’s unacceptable that a university of Concordia is allowing such hateful Hinduphobic propaganda event. It’s shows great insensitivity to the large number (representing a quarter) of its international students of Indian origin. Such events further hate and prejudice on campus and endanger safety and security of Hindu and Indian students at Concordia and across all Canadian universities. We have already seen a major increase in attacks on Indian students - killings, suicides, violent attacks as reported in the media.

We appeal to all levels of Government, media and intellectuals to intervene. We demand that the @Concordia immediately cancel this divisive and hateful event and post an official apology to the entire Hindu Canadian community.
