Delhi Police raided Twitter India offices in Delhi and Gurugram.
It comes after Twitter India tagged Ruling BJP’s Spokesman Sambit Patra’s tweet as manipulated media.
not only are social media giants bending to the indian govts demands & censoring the accounts of indian citizens—they’re also silencing global humanitarians like @ravisinghka. this is dangerous. they must be held accountable for their collusion w/ modi.
a story in two pictures:
the accounts of those reporting on covid relief efforts are also being censored. @TwitterIndia—how does deleting the account of someone reporting on government mismanagement and corruption during covid help anyone? bring back @amaanbali’s account.
.@amaanbali ‘s Twitter account doesn’t exist. According to him, he had quote tweeted about oxygen cylinder being taken away by police in Agra.
Twitter told him that his tweet violated the regulations and was directed by law enforcement authorities.
