I got my first data job because I knew SQL better than the other candidates.
There are 134 days left in 2023.
That means 134 opportunities to learn.
Here's my roadmap to master SQL by the end of the year🧵:
Some of you are just strong headed. In your work place or new domicile, you might address people by first name and greet with a handshake and that is fine. It is what professional ethic demands.
But don't bring that attitude when relating with older Nigerian elders at home. Knowing how to navigate your way with different classes of people is a form of intelligence. Education also means understanding people who are rooted in culture.
There is a way to relate with the elite and a way to relate with the hoi polloi, a way to relate with the educated and a way to relate with the illiterate, a way to relate with traditional people and a way to relate with liberal people. This cuts across business, politics and personal relations.
Wilfully disrespecting elders because "this is not how things are done in saner clime or 2023" is not exposure. You're just a fool.

Lifting heavy weights offers its own unique set of benefits and challenges that are just as important as those provided by lighter weights.
Firstly, lifting heavy weights is a testament to the strength and power of the human body. It is a visible, tangible measure of progress that can bring a significant sense of achievement and boost one’s self-confidence. Being able to lift heavy requires not only physical strength but also mental resilience, as it necessitates breaking through mental barriers that may tell us we can’t.
Moreover, lifting heavy weights leads to physiological changes that improve overall health. It triggers a natural hormonal response, causing your body to release growth hormones and testosterone which aid in muscle growth and fat loss. It also leads to increases in bone density, which is crucial for long-term health, particularly as we age.
From a fitness standpoint, lifting heavy weights leads to greater muscle hypertrophy over time, which in turn, improves your metabolic rate. The process of lifting heavy weights also utilizes more energy and burns more calories during the workout itself.
In life too, occasionally handling “heavy weights” or tackling large, formidable tasks can lead to significant growth. It can be immensely satisfying to work towards a challenging goal and achieve it, and such experiences can make us more resilient, better problem solvers, and more confident in our abilities to handle adversity.
In conclusion, while lifting lighter weights for high reps might represent the consistency needed for success in life, lifting heavy weights symbolizes the strength, resilience, and sheer power of will that are also integral to personal growth and achievement. Both are crucial parts of a balanced workout regimen, and both have valuable parallels in our everyday lives.
@Naija_PR Kings, if a woman uses that line of "How many men are lining up for her, she settled for you"
Dump her immediately
Let her go and meet the men queueing up
