2026: Nigel Farage claims we got the covid vaccine first because of Brexit
2020: Dr June Raine (CEO of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) explains we still were following EU rules at the time
Here's David Cameron in 2016 explaining that if we leave the EU we'll be economically worse off and so have less money for public services
Here we are in 2026, worse off, and with less money for public services
Young voters, those under 28, could not vote in the #Brexit referendum 10 years ago but have to live with its consequences. Less than 10% of them would vote to stay out of the EU. #RejoinEU

Today I repeatedly said I was the most attacked MP in the UK. Which is true if you don't count the two who were killed, or those attacked with a sword or who had their offices set on fire and if you only count 'attacks' with milkshakes or eggs.
There have been many incompetent Tory Prime Ministers in recent years but perhaps the one that caused the greatest damage and escaped the greatest blame was David Cameron - totally stupid mismanaged referendum without a care for the consequences
In the dead of night, 1944, inside a Gestapo cell in occupied France…
The most wanted woman in the Resistance stripped bare and forced her slender body through iron bars no one thought possible. Dress clenched in her teeth, she dropped to the street and vanished into the darkness.
Her name was Marie-Madeleine Fourcade — the Hedgehog. 🦔
Born in 1909 into privilege, she flew planes, raced cars, and defied every rule made for women. When France fell, she took command of a tiny spy network at 31 — a mother of two — and turned it into the largest and most vital Resistance ring in occupied France. The only one led by a woman.
She built a secret army of nearly 3,000 agents — men and women from all walks of life — feeding Britain critical secrets, including a stunning 55-foot map of Normandy’s beaches for D-Day.
The Gestapo hunted a brutal man. They never imagined the elegant woman before them was their greatest threat.
But the cost was devastating. 💔 Hundreds of her agents were tortured and killed — including the man she loved. She moved constantly, changed identities, and while pregnant, made the heartbreaking choice to send her children away without even saying goodbye — watching silently from a window as they disappeared from her life.
Captured twice. Escaped twice. She rebuilt her network from ashes every time.
After the war, she devoted her life to honoring her fallen agents. Yet France overlooked her, awarding honors to her husband instead.
They forgot the Hedgehog.
She outlasted the Nazis. She outlasted the silence.
Now we remember.
Marie-Madeleine Fourcade — the fierce little woman who led 3,000 from the shadows and helped turn the tide of history. Even a lion would hesitate to bite.
Say her name. Share her story. Never forget.

I’ll never forget the night I went to pick up my wife from her shift at one of London’s major trauma hospitals.
She works in A&E (the ER), and she’d texted me around 1am saying she was almost done. I pulled up outside the ambulance bay and waited like usual. Ten minutes passed. Then twenty. I was just about to text her when my phone rang.
Wife (sounding exhausted but wired): “Babe, I’m so sorry… we just had a massive trauma come in. It’s bad. I don’t know when I’ll be out.”
Me: “It’s okay, love. I’ll wait. What happened?”
Wife: “A young boy… maybe 13 or 14. Someone attacked him with a machete. His arm is completely gone from the elbow down. The police just brought the arm in a bag. He’s lost so much blood… it’s touch and go right now.”
I could hear the chaos in the background.... beeping machines, people shouting orders, footsteps running.
A little while later she called me again, voice shaky.
Wife: “You won’t believe this. The trauma surgeon just sprinted down the corridor to theatre. His sterile gown was flying behind him like a damn cape. It looked like something out of a movie. We’re all just standing there stunned.”
Me: “Is the kid going to make it?”
Wife: “I don’t know… he was knocking on death’s door when he came in. His blood pressure barely came up even after 16 units. But if anyone can save him, it’s this surgeon.”
She finally finished her shift around 6am. I was still waiting in the car when she got in, looking completely drained but also in awe.
Wife: “He did it, babe. Five Hours in surgery. He reattached every vessel, every ligament, everything. The arm might actually work again. The boy’s alive.”
Me (in disbelief): “Five hours? That man is a superhero.”
Wife (smiling tiredly): “He really is. We see a lot of horrible things in there… but nights like this remind me why we do it. That kid gets to keep his arm because one surgeon refused to give up.”
I reached over and squeezed her hand. She does this job day in and day out..... seeing the worst of humanity and still showing up for the next shift.
To me, she’s the real superhero. And that trauma surgeon? Absolute legend.
Happy 10th anniversary to the absolute greatest case of geopolitical self-sabotage in modern history! 🇬🇧🤦♂️ Today officially marks exactly one decade since a majority of Brits decided to shoot themselves in both feet and vote to leave the European Union.
And wow, ten years later, the British public is openly admitting that the entire experiment has been an absolute disaster. A stunning new poll commissioned by the ECFR tankesmedja reveals some hilarious numbers: 57% of Brits now say leaving was a massive mistake, and if a new referendum were held today, they would overwhelmingly vote to sprint back into the EU. 📉💔
The best part of this whole drama is watching reality completely destroy the fairy tales sold by Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage. Voters now agree that brexit made almost everything worse—from the skyrocketing cost of living and a collapsing economy to the public services. It’s getting so desperate over there that even 49% of Nigel Farage’s own Reform UK party supporters are now begging for closer trade ties with Europe, and 66% of all Brits want the return of free movement! Imagine having so much nationalist hubris thinking you can survive outside the bloc against a rising China and an unpredictable Donald Trump, only to realize you desperately miss your ex. 10/10 for strategic coping! 😂🍿

Brexit isn’t working: British voters are ready for a European future
Significant ECFR report finds the political ground has shifted much further than Westminster is willing to acknowledge.
75% of British voters want a closer relationship with the EU.
A majority now believe Brexit was a mistake.
52% support rejoining the EU.
Large numbers are open to forms of European cooperation that were once politically untouchable, including freedom of movement and closer defence cooperation.
The debate has moved on. The question is no longer whether Britain needs a closer relationship with Europe. The question is how quickly we can rebuild one.

This whole thing stinks more than a landfill in this heatwave.
Every single person who sees Farage over these next few months needs to keep asking him about it.
He HATES scrutiny. Let’s keep it up. 👍
Farage
- Reform falling in the polls
- repeatedly losing byelections as the public send a clear message
- internal fighting
- question of Yusuf needing removal
- Under Standards Investigation
- hiding from scrutiny for 44 days and counting
- likely legal advice to 'hide' as then he cannot damage himself further
- indicates he did breach the rules on £5million
- high odds of facing a byelection
- many other questions on finances to be answered
Don't fall for the 1477 word essay and the short video from the bunker
Farage isn't fit to run a bath
Quite something that around the tenth anniversary of the Brexit campaign murder of Jo Cox he says he is the most attacked politician of the last decade. Well done Sally Nugent for pressing with Qs so many of her colleagues have decided to move on from because he doesn’t want to answer them
Squirming Farage knows this is now a scandal that could end his chances of being PM.
Everyone, including his own supporters, knows his failure to declare a secret £5m bung from a Thailand-based crypto tycoon absolutely STINKS.
Rarely has there been such a contrast between a PM’s performance and public perception of it. It tells you all you need to know about the polarising & pernicious influence of our media ecosystem, including even the BBC’s own TV News.

If Andy Burnham includes the following in his manifesto, Labour will romp home:
Referendum to rejoin the EU.
Nationalise the utilities.
Tax the super rich.
Commitment to fund public services and the NHS.
