@TheIntelFrog ELTs go off all the time. I’ve tracked down dozens of them for Civil Air Patrol. Almost all are false alarms. They can be set off by a hard landing or maintenance activities. I’ve also found them in drawers, a hazardous waste dump, NTSB impound lot, etc.
@BenMcLa52676270 @Saturnax1 I’ve done it in a P3… Cat 4 typhoon - it was fun, except when I had to take coffee to the flight deck crew. I spent much of the time running the 360 degree search radar. Plane was a lot younger… this was in 1968 enroute Vietnam.
@Tesla_Copilot@HuskerJim1958@EndWokeness Face it… people want to believe a conspiracy when it’s clear from the video it was unintentional. My guess… pilots thought stuff on ground was tied down, when they saw it blow, instantly pulled up.
And mil choppers now often have faint numbers .
@NOAA_HurrHunter@NOAA Video brings back fond memories. I was Navy P-3 crew during Vietnam. We once flew right through a Cat 4 typhoon near Guam, just because it was in the way. Running the radar was fun. Taking coffee to the flight deck crew was… challenging.
@mellynnfruit @NOAA_HurrHunter@NOAA Are you aware that 2025 is just a think tank’s suggestion, not accepted by Trump, and that all the propaganda about it is to scare you?
Kamala claims that teachers pay a higher tax rate than rich people. This is the kind of delusional nonsense that her voters believe and mainstream “journalists” never challenge. It’s completely false. Teachers pay a MUCH lower tax rate than the rich.
@chasrmartin I’ve been using ChatGPT as a linear algebra tutor, to revive some long dormant brain cells so I can grok a digital signal processing algorithm. It is very helpful. I even had it emit a Python example for me to experiment with.
@misterceeee123 @AlleyCenter@EndGameWW3 They have a bunch of MG-29s also.
They’d get shot down, but they would still tie up resources 1000 mi from Israel.
@TheIntelFrog Two things… if the storm size remains small, it will minimize storm surge. The more distance the wind blows over water, the more water pushed ashore.
The storm should decrease in intensity due to shear before landfall.
Bth good news.
