The @Fedora Linux Project (run by @RedHat) is now issuing Code of Conduct violations to people who suggest that something is antisemitism (but allows threats of genocide against Jews).

In this case, the website for a software project put the phrase "Free Palestine" at the top. One Fedora contributor stated that he considered this "antisemitism" and it did "not exactly endear me to the language as a whole".

Red Hat employee, David Cantrell, responded with:

"The Fedora Code of Conduct Committee has reviewed this comment, acknowledges that there was a violation of the Code of Conduct, and notes that the views expressed do not represent the views of the Fedora community."

Other portions of the Fedora Linux, Red Hat, and Open Source world have since chimed in with vulgar, often profane attacks on Israel & Jews -- along with several declarations of "From the river to the sea", a statement advocating for the murder of all Jews in Israel.

None of those statements have been flagged as "Code of Conduct Violations", despite many being within the Fedora project.

In other words, according to Red Hat:

- If you note that something might be anti-Jewish or anti-Israeli, that is a Code of Conduct Violation.

- If you express a viewpoint that all Israeli's and Jews should be killed, that is NOT a Code of Conduct Violation.
