HOW DID WE GET HERE? Unlike Sturgeon's arrest, which was about her party's finances, this scandal is about her conduct in office. Everyone likes to think that our politicians should be accountable to the public. And she clearly was not.
There's also the hypocrisy: The way she constantly sneered at UK politicians for their behaviour and the constant claims that her administration was 'transparent'. All lies.
Sturgeon ran Scotland as a one-woman show: a woman who simply thought she was too superior to be accountable to the people she serves.
If she'd been able to convince enough mugs and actually got independence, NONE of this would have come to light. And one thing is sure: if people get away with small crimes, they inevitably go on to larger ones.

But the real blame lies with her voters and supporters in the media, whose mindless nationalism she fostered to gain power and money.
The real problem in Scottish society is not that chancers like Sturgeon come along, it's that Scotland is ripe for them to thrive.
What does it say about our society that gropers, grifters and no-hopers like Salmond, Sturgeon and Yousaf can be elevated to First Minister? That Scots are so easily blindsided by obvious chancers, as long as they are promised a nationalist fantasy?
Are we so insecure as a people that anyone can come along and divide us so easily? Get a grip.
All they ever needed to say is 'It's Westminster's fault' and hordes of dim-witted Scots followed them. They still do. Because it's so much easier to blame outsiders than to look at your own problems.
And, for many, it's so much easier to follow grievance merchants like Salmond, Sturgeon and Yousaf, who prioritise fantasies over real problems.
Imagine thinking that an IMBECILE like Humza Yousaf can lead you to the promised land. Are Scots really that stupid? They must be. They put him in the position.

From 'It's oor oil!' to 'It's Westminster's fault,' Scottish Nationalism is a lazy and greedy faith. It wants all of the benefits without any of the work.
To get there, it has to divide us. Its core message is putting up a wall against our friends and neighbours. But, sadly too many Scots are open to that message.
But think, who benefits? The people certainly won't. Meet the new boss, she's worse than the old boss. But Sturgeon (and the rest) have taken millions in salaries and pensions. If she escapes jail, she'll be off, while ordinary Scots are left worse off.

This was ALWAYS going to happen, because nationalism is an invitation to look the other way. Our health, education, and civic society have gone down the toilet while Scots were distracted by slick promises and fantasy.
It's just so very easy for someone to take advantage of your dreams and turn them into grievances. One minute you're upset that TV commentators are saying England instead of Scotland; the next you're giving a free pass to Nicola Sturgeon. That's how it works.
Until Scots realise that it is their own insecurities that created Sturgeon, that their own nationalism is the root cause of their ills, they will contine to vote for the next charlatan, and the next one and the next one.
Scotland's nationalist fantasy has led us down a dead-end. It's time to grow up.
