This is not a render. This is not a simulation. This is @SpaceX’s first integrated test flight of #Starship with the Super Heavy booster, the world’s largest and most powerful rocket to ever fly. This #slomo is from our 8k tracker shot by @considercosmos.
Engineering is not just about building things, it's about solving complex problems that can change the world. The world needs more engineers who are passionate about creating a sustainable future, and who are committed to making a difference. Let's inspire and empower the next generation of engineers to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
“When I am working on a problem, I never think about beauty but when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong.”
- R. Buckminster Fuller
Parts of a rocket 🚀.
No matter the size, all rockets must have a body, a nose cone, fins and a propellant system.
1. The body is the main section of the rocket. This section holds many of the electronics needed to control large rockets.
2. The aerodynamic shape of the nose cone helps prevent air from slowing the rocket.
3. The fins help guide the rocket to fly straight.
4. The propellant system includes a mixture of fuel and a chemical called an "oxidizer" that gives off oxygen. The fuel and oxidizer burn together to launch the rocket off the ground.
Forces on a rocket 🚀
When a rocket is in flight, four forces act on it: weight, thrust, and the two aerodynamic forces, lift and drag.
1. Weight. The amount of the weight depends on the mass of all of the parts of the rocket.
2. Thrust works the opposite of weight. The rocket's propulsion system causes thrust.
3. Lift is the aerodynamic force that works in a 90-degree angle to the direction of the flight. Lift is not as significant a force on a rocket as it is on an airplane.
4. Drag is the aerodynamic force that works against the upward movement of the rocket.
If you buy a house in rich neighbourhood, it's not only the question of buying an expensive house. From then on, your expenses would be higher and higher to match lifestyle of neighbours. Unless you're also rich, avoid rich neighbourhoods. You can copy lifestyle but not wealth.
