Spending the day with the critical conversation about delivering culturally competent care. What does that look like in scientific research programs? In psoriatic disease? Thank you @CBCFInc for hosting this powerfully candid conversation.
For anyone who was so far unconvinced of her amazingness - can I point you in the direction of @mneakin ‘s newest book on the science of tobacco dependence?
Hey #Lipedema research junkies – we are trying something new – posts about all newly published research! Since Twitter doesn't always smile on automated posts, we're testing this at a separate account, @LipedemaBot. Give it, and us, a follow and let us know how it's working!
@and_read nature nerd here- they ferment their forage. the bacteria convert the plant material to usable nutrition. when you see a hay wrapped in plastic in the field, it’s helping “pre-ferment” the hay to aid the process. tl;dr horses basically live on homemade tofu.

@2Scottish demonstrating his black belt in interdisciplinary approaches today as he knits together a role for understanding thrombotic events in lipedema research. 🙏!! heard at the @LipedemaFndn retreat!
“Do children get #Lipedema? Maybe. But every woman with Lipedema was once a child. When we look at her childhood photographs, we are left with the sense that we might have done something differently if we’d known what to look for.” – CSO Guy Eakin, LF’s 2022 Scientific Retreat.
So what has 140 legs and a plan for Lipedema research? Our @LipedemaFndn annual retreat attendees!
The next five years of #lipedema research starts tonight!
