@tanpukunokami I think it is because information has become so easily accessible online, it is very difficult for news companies to make money now. They have to resort to sensationalist and dishonest content in order to get viewers
@aakashgupta Couldnt you just take the 1M and put 99% of it into a trust fund you cant access, and get weekly payments from that at a higher amount and for much longer
@HazelAppleyard I could just put it into the stock market, but that's over 87 billion every year. What would be the economic effects of introducing that much money into the economy?
@2547wAA I agree, it's some of the juiciest animation and style I've seen in a pilot, but the writing is just missing the mark a bit. I don't understand Kit on a deeper level, I don't feel the chemistry between the main characters yet, the lore and story feels vague
@Swag_K1RBY With a show like smiling friends, we can clearly see there are indie creators who want to make comedies, but it's only feasible with a large company that can create an entire season in 1-2 years
@Swag_K1RBY Probably because indie shows release one or two episodes a year, so each episode has to satisfy people for quite a white. this lends well to story-driven shows with lots of drama, not to episodic comedies.
@Icefisher10@CoolioDavid Basically it's just a test to see if a full series would be financially viable. It can be a test animation or it can be a fully finished episode 1, really just depends on what the creators want. The only solid rule is that it comes out before a full season is greenlit
