Most of us half-remember this line from school assemblies, dusty hymnals, a song we sang without really understanding. But Ebenezer was a stone, raised by Prophet Samuel (Shamwīl), upon him be peace, on a battlefield where defeat had seemed certain, where the enemy came without warning and the odds were impossible. He raised it, as a market, after God sent a thunder destroying the plans of his enemies. He then said, "Thus far, the Lord has helped us."

The stone became a word. The word became a metaphor. Ebenezer (Hebrew ebhen hā-ʽezer stone of help): that moment when help arrived from somewhere you didn't expect, in a form you couldn't have planned, at a time you had almost stopped believing it would come.

The Quran speaks of this same mercy: Allah providing min haythu lā yaḥtasib, from where you never could have imagined.

We all know what it is to have our backs against the wall. To feel the ground giving way beneath something we cannot afford to lose. That fear is real. That weight is unbearable. The lump in your throat is unmovable.

But Allah is near. He has always been near. "Fear not! Indeed Allah is with us" [9:40]. "When will the help of Allah come! Indeed, the help of Allah is close" [2:214].

He is the Generous King. The One who owns every outcome we are terrified of right now. Truly.

We will get through this, and evey other pain and pang of this world. Not because of anything we can see yet. But because the Kingdom is His, and He is Generous, and He has never once abandoned a soul that turned to Him.

So, here I raise mine Ebenezer; Hither by Thy help I'm come.

There were three major jewish tribes in Madinah when the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) moved (made the Hijrah) from Makkah.

They lived in segregated, autonomous fortress-villages on the agricultural borders of the valley. They had immigrated to Madinah to await the final prophet.

The Prophet (pbuh) was invited by the Pagan-turned-Muslim Arab tribes to Madinah. After he arrived, he created the Covenant of Madinah (a domestic unification treaty).

The first jewish tribe to be expelled from Madinah was the tribe of Qaynuqa (Banu Qaynuqa). The trigger was the assault on a Muslim woman in the market and the exposure of her body.

The tribe of Banu Nadir attempted to assassinate the Prophet (pbuh) with a large boulder, and Banu Qurayzah committed active wartime treason during the Battle of the Trench.

All three tribes broke the covenant.

All three were removed from Madinah within approximately 5 years.

Theological reasons aside, the whole economic activity of Eid primarily revolves around the poor and working class. The wealth filters down directly to daily wagers, small traders and most importantly, rural households, unlike the usual concentration in corporations.

From a stock farmer to a transporter, to animal feed, to butchers, even till the last point of meat distribution. Even the smallest of things, such as rope, bring food to the hundreds of houses.

Every layer of this cycle creates livelihood opportunities for hundreds of thousands of ordinary people. An entire chain of labour is connected to it: truck drivers, loaders, market workers, tent installers, water suppliers, fodder vendors, and street hawkers all earn.

A farmer from a remote village spends an entire year raising livestock, depending on Eid sales as his main source of income. For many families, these few days determine their survival for the next few months, from household expenses, debt repayments, and even school fees. Livestock and crops serve as the backbone of the rural economy.

But some pseudo-intellectuals, while living in gated communities, eating KFC in AC rooms, having zero understanding of the fundamentals of the economy and geographic typologies, would be giving expert opinions on how a single meal doesn't help anyone.

Maybe one shouldn't be insensitive to the hardships of farmers and to the world that exists outside the Pseudo activism of gated communities.

Congrats to Israel, they killed another peace deal. We were at 95% done. After Puppet Trump talked to Netanyahu, he came out with new completely unrealistic demands:

1. Israel doesn't have to abide by the peace deal and can keep attacking Lebanon. So, only a ceasefire for one side.
2. We have to take out all the enriched uranium on day one, not in the second stage.
3. All Middle Eastern countries have to betray the Palestinians and sign Abraham Accords to normalize relations with Israel without ending the occupation.

These are purposely impossible, so that the war continues. And Israel is bombing Lebanon heavily now to try to reignite the war.

They are not our allies, Israel is a terrorist government which has captured our government and media. They're using it to drive permanent war that Americans are forced to pay for.
