When I was Muslim, I read Pharaoh drowns and is "saved" as a sign in the Quran.

However… in the Bible the judgment is final.

The added detail softens the justice. Check this out:

Surah 10:90-92: as Pharaoh drowns, he professes belief; God says it's too late, but "today We save you in body, that you may be a sign to those after you." His body is preserved as a sign.

Exodus 14-15: Pharaoh's army is drowned in the sea; "not one of them remained." Exodus 14:28. Israel sings on the far shore: "The horse and his rider He has thrown into the sea." Exodus 15:1. The judgment is total and final; no body-preservation, no partial "salvation."

The Quran adds a softening detail, a preserved body, a "sign" of mercy-in-judgment.

The Bible lets the judgment stand whole: the oppressor destroyed, the slaves set free, the sea between them and their bondage forever.

And that finality is the point. The Red Sea is the definitive break from slavery: "the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again." Exodus 14:13.

It's a picture of salvation: passing through the waters, out of slavery, with the enemy destroyed behind you, the very image the New Testament uses for baptism and redemption. "Our fathers were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea." 1 Corinthians 10:1-2.

The Bible kept the judgment complete because the deliverance had to be complete.

You don't come halfway out of Egypt.

And in the same way… you don't come halfway out of sin. "If the Son sets you free, you will be free INDEED." John 8:36.

Fully out. Enemy destroyed. Never to return to that slavery again.

See how it’s necessary? Christ is King.

The Quran kept the rock miracle and deleted the meaning. This one is surgical.

Surah 2:60: Moses strikes the rock, twelve springs gush out. I knew this story cold.

What my book never told me: there were TWO rock scenes, and the difference between them cost Moses the Promised Land.

Exodus 17: God says STRIKE the rock. Moses strikes. Water for a dying nation. Paul decodes it: “they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was CHRIST.” 1 Corinthians 10:4. The Rock, struck once, life pours out.

Numbers 20, years later, the people thirst again. This time God says: do NOT strike it. SPEAK to it. Moses strikes it anyway. And God’s response is stunning: Moses will die outside the land. Numbers 20:12.

Why so severe over hitting a rock?

Because the Rock gets struck ONCE.

“Christ was offered ONCE to bear the sins of many.” Hebrews 9:28. After that, no more striking. You speak to Him, and the water flows.

When I was Muslim, my whole religion was striking the rock again. Pray again, fast again, earn it again, tomorrow, forever.

The gospel: struck once. Finished. Now you just ask.

My book kept the springs and erased the sermon. And erased Moses’ sin too, because it protects its prophets.

The Bible let Moses fall to protect the picture of Christ.

Another example of “false advertising” from a Christian college!

I recently met a 19-year-old college student during a meet and greet after I spoke at the @ArkEncounter. This young lady was homeschooled, had visited the Ark Encounter and @CreationMuseum attractions before, and had been taught by her parents with @AiG resources. This bright young lady had been very well equipped to not compromise God’s Word and stand boldly for the truth.

She attends a “Christian” college and was shocked when she went to her biology class: It was the first time in her education that she had been taught evolution as fact. She had chosen this Christian college because they had portrayed themselves in such a Christian way in their marketing materials. I looked up their website, and yes, one would certainly think it would be a fantastic Christian college. And yet, as is the case with the majority of such colleges, the compromise on God’s Word is rampant.

Beware of “false advertising”—you have to research past the marketing materials to see if a college really stands on God’s Word. So many compromise God’s Word and that compromise is destructive to student’s faith.

Are your students equipped to stand against compromise?

Soft tissue in dinosaur fossils!

In 2005, scientist Dr. Mary Schweitzer and her team found unfossilized soft tissue in a T. rex femur—red blood cells, blood vessels, and collagen fibers. It was a phenomenal find, and since then, soft tissue has been found in many other fossils (some considered to be hundreds of millions of years old by evolutionary dating). Soft tissue is a tremendous confirmation of the biblical timeline of just thousands of years for fossils.

Science, including soft tissue in fossils, confirms the Bible, not old earth and evolutionary ideas. We can trust God’s Word!

When I was Muslim, I never understood why Jesus was called the “second Adam.” I believed Adam’s sin was a small slip-up that Allah waved away.

So I never understood why Christians made such a big deal about ONE man’s sin breaking the whole world.

Then it clicked through something Paul wrote.

“Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin.” Romans 5:12.

One man, Adam, opened the door. And everything broke. Every grave, every funeral, every goodbye traces back to one man’s choice.

But Paul doesn’t stop there.

“For as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so through one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:19.

One man broke it. One Man had to fix it.

That’s why Jesus is called the “last Adam.” 1 Corinthians 15:45.

The first Adam reached for a tree and brought death to everyone.

The last Adam was nailed to a tree and brought life to everyone who’ll take it.

Islam told me the first Adam barely mattered.

The Bible showed me why the second one had to come.

Praise the Lord, Christ Jesus!
