Pleased to meet Mr. Adébissi Djogan, Founder-Executive Director & Mr. Viwanou Gnassounou,Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Africa Political Outlook at the 3rd Edition of its summit “New South, Old World” discussing African-European relations & cooperation.
At the OACPS Ambassadorial Retreat, Mr. Viwanou Gnassounou, former Assistant Secretary-General of the organization and a facilitating speaker, emphasized its growing importance in a world filled with discord. He praised the OACPS's ability to foster constructive dialogues and investments among its member nations, aiming to achieve collective prosperity. Mr. Gnassounou highlighted initiatives by the OACPS that enable member countries to unify their stances on international platforms such as the WTO, thereby pooling their intellectual resources to support less affluent nations in negotiations with wealthier counterparts. He depicted the OACPS as an essential forum where nations from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific gather to discuss shared concerns, thus enhancing their global influence.

Thanks @Trade_EU and @EU_Partnerships for great dialogue today - and clear message that increase in farmer income will require stable long-term supply management and effective action on deforestation and child labor
A part of #CocoaTalks is about improving living standards for #cocoa farmers. First on the agenda: the income of farmers in Ivory Coast & #Ghana Delighted to see such high quality discussion about this important topic. https://t.co/HaMM9Nr1aK @Trade_EU@EU_Partnerships
