They know that a guy who inherited 250 million from the Levi jeans company, which closed all their domestic factories, stranding American workers, and moved them to places like China and Mexico, where non Union workers were paid a pittance, is not “pro labor”.

Today, SCOTUS finished off the Voting Rights Act, in a decision written by that neo Nazi Alito, who has led the quarter century assault by the Court on our democracy. Highlights include:
1.Handing the 2000 presidential election to Bush the Lesser, the loser of the electoral and popular votes.
2. Issuing the disastrous Citizen United "Corporations are People" decision which allows the billionaires to purchase elections.
3. Proclaiming that gerrymandering for partisan advantage is perfectly OK, even if allows the minority party to win the majority of House seats.
4. In a series of decisions culminating today, gutting the Voting Rights Act to now be useless.
5. Allowing states to restrict access to voting by requiring impossible levels of I.D., closing polling sites in Dem districts, forbidding given voters in 5 hr lines any water, etc (although Musk can pay voters to vote).
What was a very imperfect but precious system of voting is now a dictatorship of the minority, and that's why we have a minority party which waives the Constitution to allow rule by a monster.
Nice work SCOTUS. You did what the Jan. 6th mob failed to do.

Like the ending of the Godfather I, Trump is going after all his perceived and self-designated enemies, foreign and domestic, at the same time: Venezuela, Cuba, Nigeria, Spain, Denmark/Greenland, Canada, POC, Prosecutors, Blue States, Progressives, and, of course, the main targets: Iran and Immigrants. What is one of the obvious omissions from that list? North Korea. I wonder what sets them apart.

That's reassuring. This is only what we purchased with our regular yearly $1 trillion war budget (which we transport back and forth around the country) and not with the money needed for our new war. If prior wars are a guide (about 12 yrs in Vietnam and 20 yrs in Afghanistan) that's the range we are looking at with Iran until Netanyahu gives us permission to surrender.
