Loving that mug shot of Mr T. Looks like Don Imus in his better days. Lucky for Mr T that he's is not in Russia, his Big Mr T airplane would probably be downed by now.
@Loulpzs8@UConnWBB I just read the excellent article by Ayshwarya Kumar(ESPN) about UR journey & the energy which carried U to this point. Long-time Husky fans feel so fortunate that U chose UConn & made a precarious season into a success. I hope that ur WNBA dreams come true + French Natl Team?
@UConnWBB@WellsFargo Huskies won it at the free throw line 12 to 6 over Creighton, that difference determined the win so those last questionable fouls on the Blue Jays were critical.
@UConnMBB D Clingan continues to lead the country in Productivity Average at 1.166, Purdue's ZEdey at 1.165, AZ's Tubelis 1.058, Sanogo at 0.960 but Clingan still gets only 13 minutes avg PT per game.
@UConnWBB In seasons like this one you have to question - is this really "amateur" athletics played by college "students" only in exchange for a scholarship?
@apetrella10@Robwnextlevel@UConnWBB@WellsFargo Cant continue to make excuses for the 3 subs. They have played 618 combined minutes this year and in that little bit have 89 personal fouls and 66 turnovers. Every 4 minutes they hand opponents another scoring chance.
@lucylou3781 @UConnWBB@WellsFargo Azzi is still out with the same bum knee, the one that was originally banged up by Aaliyah Edwards, but re-injured since then.
@UConnMBB D Clingan is still the most productive UConn player but coach only gives him 14 minutes a game. His Productivity Avg is 1.163 -one of the highest in the nation. Sanogo is 0.961. Give Clingan more PT - he does good things.
@eaadams6 Coaches try to evaluate the referees early on to decide how much physical play they will allow in their game - then they adjust to "just how much can we get away without getting foul calls?"
@eaadams6 Coaches of Women's BB know that physical play can disrupt & upset an opponent's game plan, esp keying on the leading scorer. It often provokes retaliation fouls (remember Nelson-Ododa?) which causes further trouble.
@ESPN_WomenHoop It's no surprise that SC, & anyone who plays UConn's overworked 5 w/no bench backup, would try to hit hard to get Huskies into foul trouble. It's a winning strategywhen you are playing 12 against 5.
@ESPN_WomenHoop You don't have to be a Geno fan to recognize that women's bb has changed -IMHO not for the better. It's popularity used to be its emphasis on fundamental skills & lack of banging, holding, high elbowing, & stiff-arming. Now it's copying the men's game where toughness beats skill
@rebel1234xy@UConnWBB@Dorkajuhasz14@SNYtv@UConn I agree. With 5 worn out starters and zero bench help UConn still beats most Big East teams by 30 points. But the grind is catching up with them - like last night
@UConnHuskies@UConn In the last 40 years the NBA has drafted 40 UConn "student"-athletes : 37 of them are black. So, yes, Celebrate Black Husky Month.
Can anybody name the 3 white players? (hint: you've got to go back a few decades)
@UConnHoopsPoll@UConnMBB Clingan always tops all others in Productivity as measured by Positive Points per Actual Minutes Played. His Productivity Avg leads the nation at 1.168, just ahead of Z Edey 1.165, Tubelis 1.030.
(Sanogo is at 0.978)
