One of the best things about being a minotaur is that you can get a snack in the forest.
A silver lining on a very dark storm cloud, at least as far as Horatio the cursed minotaur is concerned.

@GrantHBrennerMD Found your article in Psychology Today while doing research into the prevalence of simulation belief and found it thought-provoking. Really bewildering how little there is on the actual prevalence of such belief. (Also, you have an excellent first name.)
Far as I know, this is the deepest dive into the current prevalence of simulation belief available, which is frankly a bit concerning.

"A sword will be of but little use to-night."
From Undine (1811) by Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué.
I enjoy is the idea of a sword, ever so occasionally, being nigh useless in old fairy stories. Has influenced my own work in After the Knock.

"A knock was heard at the cottage door. It startled all within, for who was there could have crossed the stream that now separated them from the mainland? It could surely be no mortal who stood without."
This line from Undine (1811) by Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué is so good.

I resolve to not fly this plane in 2025.
(Pretty sure this plane can no longer fly, and even if it could, it's not mine, and I have logged zero hours flying planes.)
(Once again, the key to a good #resolution is setting the bar on the floor.)
In 2025, I resolve to not climb over railings and attempt to fly using nothing but a surfboard lent to me by @markhamill.
(See, it's resolutions like this that are *guaranteed* to be kept. Not those pesky "gym" ones.)
I firmly believe that resolutions aren't kept because they aren't chosen properly.
For example, in 2025, I resolve to not hitch a hot-air balloon to a herd of wild elephants in Australia.
That's a resolution I can't help but keep.
You should consider making your own 100%, can't-not-keep-them #resolutions.
And then tag me. I'd like to see them.
For example, I resolve to not do chalk art of SpongeBob while Ryan Reynolds explains why Rise of Skywalker was a satisfying ending to Star Trek: Next Generation.
Must say I am quite glad to see my follower count dropping here on X.
Most were bots.

"Ampersand" is a fun word, but I can't quite recall what it means & I feel like it's just staring me in the face & I'll remember it eventually.
