I probably wouldn't scratch Michkov, because I do think he has the upside to explode offensively at any time.
But the idea that it's unwarranted and unfair is ridiculous. He's not playing well. He's been the least effective of all of the top-9 forwards. It's obvious.
@Philabuster10 Playoff hockey vs Reg season almost COMPLETELY different. Entire system philosophy now heavy on 200 ft, close the gap, tight checking play. These numbers dont really mean anything now. Michkov IS the future, but he may not be the present... and thats ok.
@insiderJmoney Michkov can be a poor playoff fit for our team system approach AND still be a future superstar. We're a close the gap shut down the neutral zone team and its working. He's 21 - there's more to the NHL than offense. TK had 68pts - he plays 200ft - there's a difference
