This is what it means for Nigeria to work.

Arya Stark: “You think the Lannisters are winning because you’re smarter than everyone else?”

Tywin Lannister: “No. We’re winning because our enemies mistake kindness for strength and mercy for weakness.”

Arya: “And what do you call a man who threatens a child?”

Tywin: “A man who knows what children become when nobody teaches them to fear the world.”

Arya: “Then why haven’t you taught me?”

Tywin: “Because I’ve been wondering what you’re hiding.”

Arya: “I’m a servant.”

Tywin: “No. You’re a liar. There’s a difference.”

Arya’s expression hardens.

Tywin: “I’ve watched you. You listen when you should be working. You watch when you should be looking away. And every time someone mentions the Starks, you forget yourself for half a heartbeat.”

Arya: “Perhaps I just hate Lannisters.”

Tywin: “Perhaps.”

He pauses, studying her.

Tywin: “Tell me, girl. If I had your father brought before me tomorrow, would you beg me to spare his life?”

Arya says nothing.

Tywin: “Or would you reach for a knife?”

Arya: “What if I did both?”

For the first time, Tywin smiles.

Tywin: “Then I’d have to decide whether you’re brave enough to be useful or foolish enough to be dangerous.”

Arya: “And if I’m both?”

Tywin: “Then you’re exactly the sort of person who gets her entire family killed.”

Arya steps closer, her voice barely above a whisper.

Arya: “Be careful, Lord Tywin. One day, you’ll threaten the wrong person.”

Tywin: “Child, I’ve spent my entire life threatening the right people.”

He leans forward.

Tywin: “But if you ever give me a reason to suspect you’re a Stark, I won’t kill you immediately.”

Arya: “Why not?”

Tywin: “Because your father taught the realm what happens when a Stark dies.”

His smile disappears.

Tywin: “I’d rather discover what happens when one is forced to watch her house fall.”

Arya holds his gaze, fighting to keep her hands still.

Tywin: “Now tell me, girl. What is your name?”

Arya: “No one.”

Tywin studies her for a long moment.

Tywin: “How interesting. That’s exactly what someone with something to lose would say.”

If Tywin had discovered Arya was Ned Stark’s daughter at Harrenhal, would he have used her to control Robb Stark—or would he have kept her identity secret and turned her into a weapon against her own family?

How come reverend fathers aren’t all dying of prostate cancer? What about old grandfathers in the villages who haven’t had sex in decades but still lived to a ripe old age and died of natural causes? Or is there something we’re missing?

⚠️ If you are around Oluku, Benin City, or the affected area, please move to a safe distance immediately and follow instructions from emergency responders. Your safety comes first!

[kpataki @iktg20]

This is so sad! This keeps happening for years & the government has not been able to put plans in place to mitigate such incidents.

It’s no longer hunger that pushes people to scoop petrol from fallen tankers but unimaginable foolishness.

My deepest sympathy to the bereaved.

The Oba of Benin, whom they all pretend to adore, lives next door to this very spot.

@m_akpakomiza never deemed it fit to fix Ring Road out of respect for our hallowed monarch, but he has been in a haste, working tirelessly to impress the wife of his lord and personal saviour.

I am a trained and certified emergency responder with certifications from basic to standard first aid training.

Anyone conducting outreach should reach out to me. I will gladly teach first aid for free.

The rate at which people are losing their lives over petty things that CPR knowledge can address before professional intervention is alarming. It is high time we educate the masses on the basics.
