"A Two-Way Devotion with Katy Perry at West Lake"

Yesterday afternoon, I ran into Katy Perry at West Lake, and I was so excited I couldn't sleep all night.
After she arrived in Hangzhou on Thursday, some old fans and I waited at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center for eight hours during her rehearsal but got nothing. I never expected that at 2:30 PM, just as I was finishing taking photos by the lake and preparing to go back to the hotel to catch up on sleep, I would turn around and see her team cycling past. I looked closely, and there was Katy, second in line! The team was just stopping to get off and walk.
I gathered my courage and went up to her, speaking in broken English: "Hello, Katy, this is unbelievable! I watched your tours in 2015 and 2018, and I even went to the UK last month."
Surprised, she asked, "Really?" and noticed the KP embroidery on my coat collar. Just as I got stuck because of my poor English, she proactively asked, "Do you want a photo?" I hurriedly took a picture with my phone, but it turned out severely overexposed. Then I asked to record a video, and she looked at the camera and said, "I love you." I nearly burst into tears.
At that moment, I remembered I had a self-made fanzine in my bag that I originally intended to give to other fans, so I handed it to her. She was very excited, learning that I designed it myself. She asked about the content inside, praised it as "exquisite," and pointing to my "Crush" T-shirt, she said, "so cool."
I rushed to tell her in broken English that we had met backstage in Hong Kong in 2018. As I scrolled through the video on my phone to show her, the sun was so bright she couldn't see clearly, so she changed angles to watch it slowly. Upon realizing it was indeed our meeting in Hong Kong in 2018, she actively hugged me and said, "thank you."
This chat lasted for five or six minutes, and her team didn't rush us at all.
As I was about to leave, she waved me back over. Pointing at my clothes, she said "nice" and asked for my name. I answered, "JL." When she asked my age, I was so excited I forgot how to say the numbers in English and could only use hand gestures. She kept laughing and even took a photo of my "Crush" T-shirt. I told her that my sunglasses, ring, and phone screensaver were all of her. She hugged me again and let her team take photos.
In the end, she actually posted the video to her social media! back in 2018, she had also taken a picture of my outfit but didn't post it. This time, my dream finally came true.
Afterward, they went into the scenic area to tour. I didn't follow them, and I promised the staff I would only post on social media after she left Hangzhou.
From missing the Macau tour in 2015, to getting only one group photo backstage in Hong Kong in 2018, to finally meeting at West Lake in 2025—I have waited so many years. People who like Katy Perry will always have good luck. Her music, positive attitude, sincerity, and kindness have always encouraged me to become a better version of myself.
