@nypost Why do those of us who have never owned slaves and have never been slaves have to keep accepting this excuse for refusing to celebrate America?
I don’t bear responsibility for the actions of people who lived 160 years ago. Just no.
My father grew up in the segregated South.
He had to walk around to the BACK of a restaurant just to order a sandwich because he was black.
THAT was Jim Crow.
Not showing a photo ID to vote.
You need an ID to:
• Board a plane
• Cash a check
• Buy alcohol
• Enter federal buildings
But suddenly showing an ID to vote is “racist”?
Give me a break.
This is not civil rights.
This is political theater.
The Democrat Party survives by manufacturing grievance because they have nothing else to run on.
Comparing voter ID laws to segregation is not just dishonest, it is insulting to the people who actually lived through Jim Crow.
Asking Americans to prove they are who they say they are when they cast their vote is called common sense.
@kenklippenstein “To figure out why Cole Allen did what he did,” I looked at everything except his manifesto and public statements online.
Nice journalisming…
@SenWarren Well Liz, I'm just spitballing here but it might have something to do with your party letting tens of millions of people into the country illegally.
So…sorry you have to work late, maybe next time don't sponsor an invasion of our country.

— Thomas Sowell
@GovernorVA Except you didn't really do that…you just made it illegal for someone to offer or take an entry level job for less than $15 an hour. Doesn't matter if they wanted or needed it, you decided it was illegal. That's what you did.
