And I want to be able to repair my laptop if I screw up one again with my coffee mug. T440p are nice for it since they are not thin and they have a CPU socket, which mean we can change it since it is not soldered on the motherboard
And the costs will be quite low since I’m going to buy almost everything on second hand market
- The upgradable side is quite a pleasant game for the EE engineer I am, I hope I don’t screw everything
- Lastly, but not to show my self, I’m trying to reduce my environmental impact
@climatecouncil@AusConservation "Only a few", I just did the calc and it needs nearly 900 wind turbines to replace a common french nuclear power plant. It is huge, it requires to build 12 offshore wind farms like St Nazaire one. Keep in mind that Australia still relies heavily on coal, which is a disaster.
Got some problems with expression of losses in a transmission line. Pozar gives an empirical equation for transmission line but the roughness delta is in RMS (Rq). I need to get it in arithmetical roughness (Ra)
I mean I'm trying to qualify tge losses on a simple straight waveguide. But the S params before the first mode are terrible, also the same after the second mode.
I recently got the opportunity to use big VNAs (2 / 4 ports, up to 40GHz) , not so easy to use but I'm trying to control these with pyVISA to get the data. I hope it will work
Yesterday, I got the opportunity to visit a FabLab near my workplace. I think I’ve finally found a place where I’ll spend a lot of time ! Everything looks neat and people seemed to be nice
