@financefraz Trouble is, people will spend way beyond their means on things that aren't essential or useful. To comfortably live, you can get by on £30K depending on your outgoings and circumstances. If you have a mortgage then that's closer to £40K.

The Earth's constant rotation means you've got to have some serious firepower to get a signal to the lunar orbit. But building a global network that powerful would be incredibly expensive. It turns out those same monster dishes used to study things like distant galaxies and black holes aren't super useful when the Moon is out. The Moon's thermal heat and light flood the night sky, making it more difficult to study; consequently, those giant radio dishes often have more open time. So Intuitive Machines rents those dishes during their lower demand periods because radio waves don't care how bright the Moon is. Sharing expensive toys vs buying new ones = win/win
@walkers_crisps Please, please bring back these discontinued crisps. I used to buy them by the box load. I think its been over 10 years, no other crisps come close.
@ListerLawrence An S Class is the dream car. I'll have to keep my C Class a few more years. I did manage 600 miles out of it on a single tank to London and back
@rawespresso You'd be very fortunate to be able to invest £100 a month with the cost of everything. I invest the price of a coffee a week, it'll never make me rich, but it's better than nothing
@Conservatives Build homes from stone, not wood. Then no AC needed. Funny how homes built hundreds of years ago are lovely and cool right now, like the one I'm in right now.
@lfg_uk Britain doesn't need AC. It needs homes built properly and not made by the lowest bidder and made mostly of wood. My family home is 250+ years old and it's 17 degrees in it, 30 outside. Checking in on my elderly neighbour and her new build is nearly 25 degrees inside.
@aakashgupta Perhaps the poorly made modern houses are like brick ovens, but our 250+ year old cottage is about 16 degrees when it's 28 outside. No air conditioning, just a well-built granite house. This is how houses should still be made.
